Created and led by Baltimore resident musician Laura Byrne, Baltimore Irish Arts Center was founded in 2001. Our purpose is to ensure the longevity of Baltimore's vibrant traditional Irish music scene through promotion, accessibility and education. Small group classes are held intermittently throughout the year and we also host the annual Baltimore Irish Trad Festival which was started in 2012.

The sixth annual Baltimore Irish Trad Fest will be held on April 7-9, 2017 and again we'll be gathering some of the world's finest traditional Irish musicians to teach workshops, perform and lead sessions. There will be an all-star concert on Saturday evening at the Creative Alliance, workshops on Saturday and Sunday, and sessions all weekend long!
